Kendell Buxton, DDS
Dentist
Dr. Buxton is originally from a small town in Cache Valley of northern Utah. Cache Valley is home to Utah State University, where Dr. Buxton began his undergraduate studies in 1998. After completion of his coursework at USU, he moved to the Midwest, where he earned his dental degree at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 2008. Since that time, he has worked in several outstanding private practices in Ohio, New Mexico, and now Colorado.
Dr. Buxton chose Fort Collins as his final destination because of its many similarities to his hometown, the family-friendly environment, the active lifestyle, and the beautiful surroundings.
Dr. Buxton loves dentistry and enjoys the ongoing education it demands. He works hard to stay up-to-date on the latest information and technology from each branch of the dental profession. Dr. Buxton believes dentistry can be comfortable for even the most timid patients and does his best to show that no matter what type of treatment he is providing.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Buxton’s enjoys spending time with his wife, their six children, and their energetic Bernedoodle. They enjoy music, sports, the outdoors, road trips, movies, exploring Colorado and cheering on their favorite sports teams.
Kirk Harvey, DMD

care and compassion, and that understanding another’s perspective goes a long way in building long-lasting relationships. He is also a huge dinosaur nerd. His favorite? The
FLOSS-iraptor! Joking aside, Dr. Harvey is serious about his education. He attended Metropolitan State University of Denver, where he ran cross country and track and set
numerous school records! After graduating with his B.S. in Biology, he headed to Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Glendale, Arizona to earn his
Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. Here, he proudly earned the Hanau Excellence in Prosthodontics Award, an incredible honor given to dental school seniors
who excelled in clinical applications of prosthodontics.
When he isn’t creating beautiful smiles, he is spending time with his wife Elizabeth, two amazing daughters, and silly Husky named Simba. He loves Marvel movies and reading, hunting and fishing, and is a huge fitness enthusiast. Anissa is originally from northern Utah where she received her Bachelor's in Business Administration from Utah State University. After spending a few years in Tacoma, Washington, she and her family moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming and have called this home for over 20 years. She joined Buxton Family Dental in 2018 and enjoys working with patients and insurance companies to make your visit to the dentist as seamless as possible from start to finish. Anissa loves working in an office where people are smiling, happy to be in a dentist office, staff and patient's alike!
Anissa loves being with her family, reading all types of genres and spending time outdoors when it is not windy!
Tamara
Dental Assistant
Tamara moved to Windsor in March 2021 from Phoenix, where she was born and raised. She is happy to be out of that heat! She has been a dental assistant for 9 years and enjoys helping patients feel comfortable while in the dental chair. She wants coming to the dentist to be a great experience for everyone!
Tamara and her husband have three children and enjoy taking them hiking and spending time outdoors.
Angela
Treatment Coordinator / Receptionist
Angela grew up in Durango, CO but has called Fort Collins home for 20 years. She has been in the dental field for 6 years in various positions. She is passionate about being an integral part of helping people achieve exceptional dental care.
In her free time Angela can be found exploring the outdoors with her boyfriend and their dog and two cats. She has hiked 10 different 14'ers and was happy she survived Long's Peak! She also loves reading and spending time with family and friends.
Haley
Dental Assistant
New to Colorado! Haley moved from Wyoming, where she was born and raised. She went to college in Billings, Montana. She has been a dental assistant for 8 years and enjoys giving patients the best experience and care possible. Haley enjoys working out, wake surfing and hunting in her spare time. She has a 7-year-old Mini Aussie, named Kimber.
Ruth
Business Assistant
Ruth is a native of beautiful Cache Valley, Utah. She attended Utah State University and has a bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Science. She joined the Buxton Family Dental team in 2018 and has been involved in various office projects including system development and team building. She appreciates being part of a team that strives to make patients feel welcome and cared for.
In her spare time Ruth can be found Ubering her kids around to various activities but also likes a good audio book, skiing, hiking, and dark chocolate!
Brittany
Hygienist
Brittany is originally from North Carolina and moved to Fort Collins in 2018 after finishing dental hygiene school. She strives to help every one of her patients feel comfortable and is passionate about fostering the best possible dental care experience. She enjoys playing with her kids, taking long walks with her pup and gardening.
I've never written a google review before but wanted to make sure Buxton Family Dental was noted for their great service. Dr. Buxton was very kind and personable. His staff seemed very experienced. They were all kind and friendly. I will definitely be going back and will recommend this practice to others.
