Your First Visit
Our first visit with you is an important appointment. We strive to make your initial appointment as easy and straightforward as possible while giving you all the information you need to make proper choices concerning your dental needs.
First, we’ll need some information about you.
Please arrive 15 minutes early so the front desk staff can gather your information in the reception area with a short questionnaire. Better yet, fill out the New Patient Forms on this page to get a head start on the process.
Next, you’ll meet our clinical team members. Our dental assistant will take a series of digital x-rays and intra-oral photographs so we can document the current condition of your teeth.
Dr. Buxton will review all the information we’ve acquired and use it to show our findings throughout the exam. We will discuss any joint problems, assess the condition of your teeth, evaluate your gums, complete an oral cancer screening, and more.
Once we’ve thoroughly evaluated your mouth, you will have some time to discuss any questions you might have with Dr. Buxton.
Finally, you’ll meet one of our hygienists, who will clean your teeth and provide additional insight into the health of your gums and other tooth-supporting tissues. The hygienist will likely give personalized pointers on how you can best take care of your teeth or improve your oral hygiene and provide some sample products to get you started.
Before you'll leave, you’ll pay another visit to the front desk, where we’ll carefully go over the financial aspects of your treatment plan and schedule any further recommended dental treatment. If you have dental insurance, we’ll do our best to provide the most accurate estimate of insurance benefits. If you don’t have insurance, not to worry. We have many options to make treatment affordable and convenient for all patients. Click here to learn more.
We do our best to review all your options and provide you with the knowledge and information you’ll need to make further decisions about your treatment plan. Feel free to contact us at any time so we can clarify any questions you might have.
If you’re ready to get started, please give us a call or request an appointment through our online web form. We’re excited to meet you!
